This file contains some notes on using Flipper with WordPerfect.
WordPerfect's menu and status line is line 25. Flipper
can be set to watch line 25, and read it if it changes, or if
you prefer, you can define an alt number key to read it
whenever you want.
The file wp5.tab is an example of a file that you can
use to replace help.tab. The function keys during the
help mode will then act as a quick reference template
for wordperfect version 5.0.
When using WordPerfect's spelling checker, you should turn on
forced inverse video cursor, and then Flipper will track the
misspelled word in context.
To have Flipper monitor line 25 and read it when it changes,
press backslash, then answer line 25, and then 1 and 20 for the
left and right sides. This sets flipper to watch that area, and
it will beep if it changes. To have it read the line rather than
just beep, press d, for define, then the backslash key, and answer
25, 25, 1, 80, to read line 25 from beginning to end. Next, turn off
the beep, which is on toggle key shift function key 5, and turn on
shift function key 6, telling Flipper to read the defined area when
it sees the change. You should leave the block option off in the
secondary set so that you can use alt f to turn it off when you are
typing at a prompt on line 25.
